About the unit:

The unit started on the third floor of Section 15 (B) of Mansoura University Hospital, about twenty beds.

I moved in 1998 on the sixth floor of the University Children's Hospital as a unit of hematology and oncology (30 beds) with a unit of bone marrow transplantation for children (4 cabins) in the second floor of the same hospital and when the pediatric tumor department moved to the oncology center, the hematology and bone marrow transplantation unit in the University children hospital.

Department capacity: 40 beds in the 7th floor of the oncology center

Number of outpatient clinics: 3 clinics

Examination days: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Unit mission:

Diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of all types of children's tumours, which are presented to the center from the Children's Hospital and the various departments, which are:

Acute leukemia and Lymphomas.

Kidney adrenal tumours.

Bone tumours.

Retinoblastoma.

Liver tumours.

Tumors of the nervous system.

It also receives referrals from the various governorates of the Delta.

The unit provides a chemotherapy service to children in addition to supportive care.
